Since a stay in Chamonix, at the age of twenty, where he felt "the aspiration by the vertical movement of the peaks" dear to Gaston Bachelard, Étienne Klein has nurtured a deep passion for the mountains. From Corsica to Annapurna, via the Hoggar and the Alps, he has practiced hiking, mountaineering and, for a few years, has been trail running. Space of beauty and freedom, the mountain is for him a revealer of beings, friendship and solidarity.
Questions then arise in the man of science: what are the resources of the body, what are its links with the mind? Climbing the walls is a way of studying a physical concept, but also a metaphysical one: the void.
